Chipus closed with Criatec 2 its first round of investment this week. The Criatec 2 fund is the second fund from a series of funds sponsored by BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank), which started in 2006 with the Criatec 1 fund.
The investment aims to:
- Expand Chipus international commercial presence, especially in United States, Europe and Asia
- Accelerate the development of new IPs and platforms to cover the burgeoning demand of power management, analog front-ends (sensors) and radio front-ends IPs that Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 will demand in next years
The Criatec 2 has Bozano Investments as the National Manager and Triaxis Capital as Operational Advisor. Other shareholders of the Criatec 2 fund are other Brazilian regional development banks like Banco do Nordeste, BADESUL, BDMG, BRB and the investment company Bozano Investments.
